About Our Seeds

Tierra Madre Farm and Seed Dreams have joined efforts to perserve our world's crops. Seed Dreams is a seed saving project, not a commercial company. We are dedicated to growing and protecting rare and heirloom seeds. We have two seed farms: one in the mountains near Santa Cruz, California, one in Port Townsend, WA.

All Seed Dreams seeds are grown the old-fashioned way without the use of pesticides or chemicals, and through the hard work and dedication of California farmer Shane Murphy, and Seed Curator and farmer at our Port Townsend farm, Tessa Gowans, as well as the time and love of generous volunteers.

Seed Dreams seeds are open-pollinated and clean; we wouldn’t touch a GMO with a 10-foot hoe. Our organic and sustainable farming practices are built on time-tested traditions of respect and honor for the land and all its creatures.
